1.Agreement and eligibility
These Terms are a contract between you and Cleanoise (“Cleanoise”, “we”). By creating an account or using the service you agree to them, together with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy and Refund Policy. If you use Cleanoise for an organisation, you confirm you can bind it, and “you” includes that organisation.
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. Do not use the service if you are barred from doing so by law.
2.Your account
Give accurate information and keep it up to date. Keep your credentials confidential and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. You are responsible for activity under your account, including activity by seats you invite on a Team plan. One person per seat; do not share logins.
3.The service
Cleanoise lets you upload video, apply automated fixes (such as noise and echo reduction, lighting and color balance, and speech clarity) and export the result. Some features are described as “coming soon” and are not part of any plan until released. We may add, change or retire features, and will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce what you paid for.
Limits apply to file size (4 GB), length (60 minutes) and supported formats (MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV). We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted service; planned maintenance and outages may occur.
4.Results and AI processing
Fixes are produced by automated processing. Results depend on the quality of your source recording and are not guaranteed. Clipped audio, heavy blur, extreme camera angles or noise louder than speech may limit what is possible. Always preview before you export and review the output before you publish it. You are responsible for how you use the output.
5.Plans, credits and billing
- Credits. 1 credit = 1 processed minute of video. Each plan includes a monthly allowance. Unused minutes do not roll over.
- Subscriptions. Plans are billed in advance for each billing period (currently monthly) and renew automatically until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges to your payment method through our payment processor, Stripe.
- Taxes. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless stated; we add them where required.
- Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price change, which applies from your next renewal. You may cancel before it takes effect.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails we may retry, pause processing or suspend the account until it is resolved.
- Refunds. Governed by the Refund Policy.
6.Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from your billing settings or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the paid period, during which you keep access. Cancelling does not by itself refund amounts already paid, except as set out in the Refund Policy or required by law.
7.Your content
You keep all rights in the videos you upload (“Your Content”) and in the outputs we produce from them. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, process and display Your Content solely to provide the service to you and, only if you have not opted out, to improve our models as described in the Privacy Policy. This licence ends when Your Content is deleted, subject to backups that are overwritten on schedule.
You confirm that you own or have the necessary rights, licences and consents for Your Content, including consent from people who appear or speak in it, and that it does not infringe or violate anyone's rights or the law.
We delete uploaded and processed files after 30 days. Download what you need before then; we cannot recover deleted files.
8.Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload unlawful content, including content that exploits or endangers children, incites violence, harasses people, or infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
- upload adult, sexually explicit or pornographic material, including AI-generated material of that kind;
- use the service for fraud, scams or to facilitate any illegal activity;
- create or distribute deepfakes or other synthetic media that falsely depict a real person saying or doing something, or that impersonate someone;
- upload malware or content designed to harm devices or systems;
- use the service to deceive people about who is speaking or appearing, to impersonate someone, or to create misleading synthetic media of real people without their consent;
- probe, scan or test our systems for vulnerabilities without permission, or bypass limits, credits or access controls;
- interfere with or overload the service, or use bots or scrapers against it;
- reverse engineer, decompile or extract the source of the service, except where the law allows;
- resell or provide the service to third parties as a competing product without our written agreement;
- use the service in breach of any law or sanctions.
9.Sensitive features
Features that alter how a person appears, such as eye-contact correction once released, are optional and off by default. Use them only on footage of yourself or of people who have agreed, and do not use them to mislead an audience in a way that could cause harm.
10.Our intellectual property
We own the service, its software, models, design, documentation and branding. These Terms give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose. No trademark, logo or brand right is granted. If you send us feedback or suggestions we may use them without obligation to you.
11.Third-party services
The service relies on third parties such as hosting and payment providers. Their services are governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our control.
12.Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Cleanoise infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@cleanoise.com identifying the work, the material and where it is, your contact details, a statement of good-faith belief and a statement that the information is accurate and you are authorised to act. We may remove material and suspend repeat infringers. You may send a counter-notice if you believe removal was a mistake.
13.Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms, fail to pay, create risk or legal exposure for us or others, or where we are required to by law. Where reasonable we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the issue first. On termination your right to use the service ends and your files are deleted on the normal schedule. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as liability, IP and governing law) continue.
14.Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of results and non-infringement. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under consumer law.
15.Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 USD. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
16.Indemnity
If you are using the service for business, you will defend and compensate us against third-party claims arising from Your Content or your breach of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law. This does not apply to consumers where the law forbids it.
17.Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where Cleanoise is established (stated in the footer), excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, except that consumers keep any right to bring claims in the courts of their home country and the protection of mandatory consumer law there. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue informally.
18.Consumer rights
If you are a consumer, you have legal rights that these Terms do not affect, including remedies if digital content or services are faulty or not as described. See the Refund Policy for how the right of withdrawal applies to this digital service.
19.Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will post the update with a new date and notify you by email or in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect where practical. Continuing to use the service after the effective date means you accept the changes; if you do not, you can cancel first.
20.General
These Terms and the policies they refer to are the whole agreement between us on this subject. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights without our consent; we may assign ours in connection with a business transfer. We are not liable for delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Notices to you may be sent to your account email.
