1.What are cookies
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, do the same job. They help sites work, remember your choices and, where used, measure how a site is used.
2.How we use them
- Strictly necessary storage keeps you signed in, protects the service and remembers choices you make, such as your privacy settings. The service cannot work properly without it, so it does not need consent.
- Functionality storage remembers preferences such as light or dark theme.
- Performance and analytics cookies show how visitors use the service so we can improve it. We do not currently use any. If we add them we will update this page and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
- Advertising cookies: we do not use them.
3.What is stored today
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| theme | Local storage (first party) | Remembers your light or dark display choice | Until you clear site data |
| Stripe cookies | Cookies (third party) | Set by Stripe on its own checkout pages when you pay, to prevent fraud and process payment | Per Stripe policy |
When accounts launch, we will also use essential session storage to keep you signed in, and list it here.
4.Third-party cookies
Some services we use, such as payment processing, may set their own cookies when you use them. We do not control these, and they are covered by those providers' own policies.
5.Consent
Because we currently use only essential and functionality storage, we do not show a cookie banner. If we introduce optional cookies, you will be able to accept or decline each category, and declining will be as easy as accepting. You can change your mind at any time.
6.Managing cookies
Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies and site data in their settings (usually under Privacy or Security). Blocking some storage can affect how the site works, for example the site may forget your theme. We respect the Global Privacy Control signal. Many browsers also offer “Do Not Track”; there is no common standard for it, so we do not respond to it differently.
7.Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our use of cookies changes and show the new “last updated” date above.
